Urs Fischer

Spaghetti Cat

2015

Swiss artist Urs Fischer has been hailed as "the troublemaker of modern art". Despite never having received a systematic art school education, Fischer has succeeded in establishing an art world of his own. His creations span sculpture, painting, and installation art, incorporating commonplace objects at will and moving freely between themes. His work is unpredictable and difficult to sum up. Fischer always works extemporaneously, without the slightest thought given to the logicality of his creations, and his pieces reflect the conflict between things while simultaneously discussing their associations. In Fischer's world, art is everywhere.
