Too Many Lingzhi

2015

This sound sculpture includes not only a large solar panel, which is used in a similar way to Mirza’s Solar Symphonies to generate both light and electronic sound, but also a painting by Gaia Fugazza, representing mushrooms growing on a tree stump. This special kind of mushroom, lingzhi, is used medicinally in East Asia to treat various ailments.
